8 gallon fermenter complete with lid, airlock, spigot, and volume markings! These buckets are made from Polypropylene and are stackable to save space! Also semi transparent to block light from entering but allow you to see the krousen line!
Buckets do not have any stickers or labeling on them. Pure white semitransparent with volume markings. (the pictures with stickers are from a user).
Why Polypropylene?
These buckets are made from polypropylene as it is less porous and significantly smoother than other HDPE fermenters. HDPE is porous and can harbor microbial activity making it more difficult to clean and sanitize.
Being less porous, polypropylene also does not absorb aroma like HDPE so there is less flavor carry over from batch to batch.
Kit Includes:
• 7.9 gallon plastic bucket
• Plastic lid with hole and grommet
Spigot, but can be used without spigot as well. To use with spigot drill a small hole in the plastic bucket wall inside where it is threaded for spigot.

3-Piece airlocks: Simply remove the cap, fill the cylinder about halfway (to the imprinted line) with water or sanitizer, and replace the cap. 3-piece airlocks are easy to clean with an airlock brush if the fermentation back up into the airlock. If you expect a blow off or are in the middle of you, simply attach 3/8 inch tubing to the airlock and submerse other end in a bucket of sanitizer or water.
